Essential oil-enhanced cooking can be a lot of fun. A healthier lifestyle way of eating starts with your food preparation. When you have finished cooking your meats, add 2-3 drops Basil, Fennel, Rosemary, or Thyme and let meat cool in the covered pot, so the oils can penetrate and soak into the meat.
After steaming vegetables, add 1-2 drops of Lemongrass, Peppermint, Spearmint, or Lemon to enhance the enzymatic action of the food and increase the natural enzyme secretion in your GI tract.
When making apple pie, pumpkin pie, carrot cake, and so on, add 3-4 drops of Cinnamon Bark, Ocotea or other oils you desire according to taste.
